The Bandpass Lens Filter 800 nm is designed for near-infrared (NIR) imaging, transmitting light at its 800 nm peak wavelength while blocking unwanted wavelengths outside the 750–850 nm useful range.
It attaches directly to a standard machine vision lens using the built-in front filter thread, providing a secure and reliable mounting interface.
With a wide range of available thread sizes, the BP800 integrates seamlessly with many lens formats, ensuring stable optical performance in demanding NIR inspection environments.
Overview of the BP800 Narrow Bandpass Filter
Narrow bandpass filters transmit only a selected portion of the spectrum while suppressing all other wavelengths.
In the case of the BP800, transmission exceeds 90% at the 800 nm peak, and remains above 80% throughout the 750–850 nm useful range.
This corresponds to a 100 nm FWHM (±5 nm), giving the filter a broader passband ideal for high-efficiency NIR illumination and detection.

Because lenses come in different sizes, the BP800 filter is available in several standard thread options, making it suitable for both compact and larger lenses.

Using the BP800 with a C-mount (CMT) Filter Interface
The BP800 can also be installed inside the C-mount interface—ideal for lenses without a front filter thread or for compact setups where front-mounting is not practical.

Applications for a 800 nm Bandpass Lens Filter
The BP800 is well-suited for near-infrared imaging tasks such as:

Integrating the BP800 into Machine Vision Systems
Most machine vision lenses include a front-mounted filter thread, allowing the BP800 filter to be attached directly.
If you are using a C-mount lens on a GigE camera or USB3 camera, the filter can also be placed inside the C-mount connection instead of on the front of the lens.
Installed between the camera and the lens, the filter remains fixed within the optical path, ensuring stable alignment and consistent image performance.

GeT Cameras in Germany made some photo's of our products to show the performance of their cameras and they looked perfect. Recently we purchased a camera with lens, and LED lights. Recently we purchased a camera with lens, and LED lights. We are not experienced with machine vision but the installation worked out fine. After installation on our laboratory we were surprised again of the high quality of the photos and the versatility of this system. (options in Galaxy viewer and integration in Python. Recently we had an issue with the software and the customer support was able to give us the relevant information to fix it within one day. The next time we need a camera we will not be looking to other suppliers but contact GeT Cameras immediately.

For a new product development there was a lot of price pressure. We needed a cheap camera. I called them and Caspar was providing great support. He even advised a cheaper camera than I had in mind. I was just surprised by the inhouse knowledge of get cameras about machine vision. Never expected this from a webshop. The image an built quality of the camera is also great. The camera feels and operates the same as our Basler cameras.

They ... I ordered a 20MP USB3 camera including a lens 2 months ago for a datamatrix code reading application. In the beginning I was sceptic because of the low prices, but support by email was great. They advise a lens and provided additional technical information. Unfortunately they don't offer a loan service, but I decided to try it. I had the cameras in house within 2 weeks and connection was easy. The SDK looks like the SDK from Basler so I felt directly comfortable with it. The camera and lens was a perfect match and now I'm able to read small DMC codes on large products with just a single camera.

We have also ordered the lens they advised. It provides a nice and sharp image.
